DIY
My family has a serious case of I-can-do-it-myself, with its sub-discipline I-can-make-it-myself. You know it as DIY. To us, it’s just our day-to-day way of doing stuff. We hardly ever got anyone to do stuff around the house. My dad built, fixed, and made pretty much everything that needed doing or fixing in his garage. My mother is an absolute whizz in the kitchen and with yarn crafts, but she draws a definite line at making clothes. Don’t make a mistake, things didn’t always go as planned. We tended to make things way more complicated than they needed to be. We called it the Visagie-method.
I’m incredibly happy and lucky to have inherited the same worldview…and the tendency to practice the Visagie-method.
